Maple Watching

The red maples didn’t look like they were blooming from a distance.

Each tree had only had small portions beginning to flower.

The young seedpods measured a half-inch or so.

Only one limb on one tree had leaves emerging.

It should be a good week for “spring watching” with the daily temperatures to be in the 70’s.

  3. It looks like you’re a week or two ahead of us. It’s great to see the leaves again. I don’t think this winter was really any longer than others but it sure seems like it lasted an awful long time.
