Growing Wings?

Now I’ve seen everything!

I was taking pictures of a beetle

on the bark

of the Ingram Hill Oak.

Then I looked down …

and found wings coming out the side of the tree.

There was no body attached or any damage to the wings.

They just looked like they were growing out the side of the tree.

  1. Strange! I wonder who the wings belong to? they look beautiful.

  2. I wonder if a bird or a bat ate whatever was attached to the wings. I used to work at a place that left outdoor lights on all night and in the morning there would be moth wings everywhere, but no moths.
