A Persistent Flower

The ice and snow melt.

At least one dandelion can’t resist blooming, nestled down among dried leaves and grasses.

  1. The latest dandelion I ever saw was on December 21st one year. I don’t know if yours would be considered late or early but you must be having some mild weather. All I’m hearing about is blizzards in Chicago.

    • We’re a long way from Chicago — like 50-50 miles north of the southern tip if Illinois. Our weather has been mild, but it’s expected to change tomorrow. We are having an overly dreary winter with very few days of sunshine.

  2. Absolutely glorious!
