… and I hope they’re here to stay, at least for a few months.
Buffy and I were in the backyard earlier this morning, and she didn’t act like the foxes were under the barn.
There’s an old strip pit behind our house, and I suspect they have a den there too.
I take all the fox pictures from inside the house because of the layout of our backyard.
Obviously, this is the female (vixen). Notice the slight “baby bump.”
She got back up on their observation platform and napped before going back under the barn.

They are beautiful. How fortunate to be able to have them so near.

I think they came back this morning. Buffy doesn’t like them around at all. So, we’re staying in today. They denned here year before last too.

She seems to have made herself right at home and must feel safe if she’s sleeping right out in the open.

She looked content. Sure made my day!

I was so excited to see them. Buffy and I were out yesterday morning and she didn’t act like they were there. They must have moved in a little later.

Beautiful to see the fox enjoying the winter sun… I saw a fox crossing the road in the late afternoon a few days ago as I was driving up the mountain. Hadn’t seen one in a year or more.

I was so surprised because I hadn’t seen one in I can’t even remember when.

They are a treat. Buffy sure doesn’t like the visitors in her territory.
